A new trailer for NetherRealm Studios’ latest DLC character includes the molecular modifier and cellular crusader known as Atom. The shape-shifting character that’s basically a poor man’s Ant-Man will arrive in Injustice 2… soon.
The character was advertised via a 52 second long trailer that showcases some of the Atom’s abilities, as well as his uncanny skillset that enables him to grow and shrink and beat the crap out of people both while he’s small and large. You can check out the trailer below, courtesy of Izuniy.
So let’s address the elephant in the room before going any further: Atom is still white… and still (presumably) straight.
In today’s gaming realm we all know that certain characters have become prime targets for Social Justice indoctrination, which usually includes altering the character in some way to appease the SJW crowd. This may include magically turning a character gay, turning a character trans, swapping the character’s race, or even swapping the character’s gender.
I have to say that I was taken aback to see that Atom was still… whole.
While DC hasn’t been as bad about implementing SJWism into their products the way Marvel has been going full SJW over the last few years, I was still somewhat worried something may have befallen (or may have been cut off) Atom while making his debut in Injustice 2.
They don’t have a release date rolled out for the Atom’s DLC release but he’s coming soon for NetherRealm and Warner Bros., fighting game.
Atom’s combos look decent enough, bouncing between him growing and shrinking in size to mix up the entertainment values of his abilities.
His outfit looks kind of goofy, but thankfully there are gear options that will be available so you can make him look less… goofy.
