No Man’s Sky Patch 1.38 Brings New Saves And Fixes Bugs

Hello Games is still sticking with No Man’s Sky to better the game for those who enjoy playing it. The latest move dubbed patch 1.38 by the devs, adds new save functions, addresses many bugs, and fixes existing features. No Man’s Sky is out now for PC and PS4.

The new patch fixes a lot of bugs and changes other existing content in-game that should make the game better. The first thing added now presents you with five save-game slots that can be used for any game mode. Additionally, your saved files that already exist will be placed into these five slots.

It should be noted, though, that upon selecting an empty slot you will start a new game, allowing you to then pick which game mode to play from the mode select menu. Looking deeper into this new save function, there are two sub-like slots that are distributed for each save-game — one for auto saves and the other for manual saves.

The last thing regarding the save feature is that upon starting a new game with no existing saves will send you to mode select.

As for “Improvements & Changes” a slew of things have flooded said department. Some improvements change UI and other visual effects, while the changes made to the game through patch 1.38 can alter your play style with dead planets and their temperature varying in extreme kinds of weather.

The second column titled “Bug Fixes” is almost equivalent to that of “Improvements & Changes,” however it covers a list of bug problems. Many of the bugs squashed consist of inaccurate and flawed depictions on-screen, which also includes problematic stuff like excess items being lost forever.
