Black Mirror Gameplay Trailer Shows The Re-Imagining Of The Gothic Horror Title

King Art Games and THQ Nordic released a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming horror adventure game, Black Mirror. The new trailer is just over a minute and a half long, giving gamers a brief look at what’s to come when the remake of Black Mirror makes its way to PC, PS4 and Xbox One on November 29th.

The Gothic-themed adventure game is a complete re-imagining of the first Black Mirror that came out way back in 2003, more than 14 years ago. The H.P. Lovecraft-inspired title features improved graphics, visuals, shaders, audio and lighting compared to the original.

You can check out the trailer below, which showcases some of the game’s classic third-person, fixed-camera mechanics and maneuverability.

The trailer first details some of the backstory for the characters, as well as outlines how there are superstitious stigmas attached to the Gordon family name.

One of the other characters professes that the superstitions may not be true just because they’ve been believed in for so long. It’s up to players to uncover what the true nature is behind David Gordon’s family legacy, tainted or otherwise, and the horrors that lie beneath the house.

If you missed out on the game all those years ago it makes sense that THQ Nordic would bring it back in some ways to reach an all new audience thanks to delivery services like Steam and with the newfound popularity of mid-budget games on home consoles.

Black Mirror may not have been a huge blockbuster back in the day, but it was themed for gamers who were looking for a classical horror-adventure game that many gamers from the Sierra Interactive era were craving since the days of Phantasmagoria and The Haunting.

You won’t have to wait long to get your hands on Black Mirror, as the game is scheduled to make its way onto the market for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC starting November 28th next week.
