Supermassive Games’ Bravo Team might be delayed well into 2018, but the game is still being bundled up with PlayStation VR headset units. In fact, VRFocus is reporting that the game will be conjoined at the hip to Sony’s underutilized and overpriced PlayStation Aim controller.
VRFocus is reporting that despite the delay from late 2017 into early 2018, Bravo Team will still come in a PlayStation Aim bundle, which features both the game and the controller in a single bundle pack.
On the downside, the bundle pack will not come with the PlayStation VR headset nor the PlayStation Camera.
The article reports that there is no price point designated for the bundle just yet but they plan on getting that up and out soon enough when the game is actually ready to launch. Right now they’re expecting the bundle to be priced around $99 USD.
As for the game itself, you can check out the trailer to get a quick refresher as to what Supermassive is working on with Bravo Team.
The game is played like many other typical first-person shooters, with the face buttons allowing you to reload, take cover and swap weapons, while the main controller lets you move about and aim.
The game looks kind of janky from what I’ve seen so far. However, maybe the delay into March, 2018 is so that Supermassive can polish the gameplay up nice and neat?
So far the PlayStation VR headset has yet to receive a killer app that really makes the device shine. There are a bunch of tech-demo style games available that have done moderately okay on the market but nothing has really kicked VR into the high gear of sales. I tend to doubt Bravo Team will be that game, but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
