Devil May Cry 5 Rumored To Run On UE4, Supposedly In Development For PS4 And PC

More rumors have surfaced ahead of  Devil May Cry 5 making an alleged appearance at PlayStation Experience 2017 and now at E3 2018. The new rumor that should be handled with care describes Capcom’s game running on the Unreal Engine 4, which will be available for PS4 first with a PC port to follow.

Notice: None of the following information has been proven as fact as of this writing in regard to the alleged Devil May Cry 5. The information should still be taken with a grain of salt, unless Capcom proves DMC:V is in fact in development.

In recent times, some new supposed leaks have popped up that explore Devil May Cry 5 or DMC:V. The game is noted to be Hideaki Itsuno’s secret Capcom project, and will be the sequel to the original Devil May Cry series.

The following information comes from “Son of Sparda”, which is strange given that the last piece of rumored info in regards to DMC:V came from Reddit user DasVergeben.

Anyway, the user on Resetera posted one supposed leak titled “Massive Devil May Cry 5 Info” and another one as a follow up about platforms and the game’s engine.

You can read the first post right here:

“The game is slated to release some time in the fiscal calendar year of 2019. That means sometime between April 2018 and March 2019. Original plan was to release it in November 2018 but the date MIGHT have been pushed back to early 2019.

Originally DMCV was intended to be announced at PSX but after receiving feedback on their E3 press conference, Sony decided to scale back on PSX and instead scale up E3 2018. DMCV was an unfortunate casualty of this choice and thus it’s unlikely that DMCV gets officially revealed in 2017.

There will be a demo for the game sometime before release.”

The second post or the follow up sits below:

“- PlayStation 4 first, PC later. (highly unlikely to be on any other platform)

– Unreal Engine 4”

Remember, please do take all of this information with caution given that Capcom did not provide any of the aforementioned. All of the above is a rumor and may or may not be true.

Time will tell if this so-called Devil May Cry 5 will be a no show or not at PlayStation Experience 2017 or E3 2018.
