Paid Video Game Testers Sought By Community Test Group

Need a part-time gig in your life that includes testing upcoming video game? Well, the Keywords Studios Community Testing group is looking for a few eligible gamers to play-test games for maybe one or two hours and earn some extra dosh in the process.

The game testing sign-up page is currently live right now.

The part-time gig is just that: part-time.

As pointed out over on Reddit in the full description, it’s not full-time work so you won’t be abandoning your job as a full body masseuse at the local super model agency in order to play-test games full time.

You will be able to garner a bit of extra cash play-testing games on your own time and at your own pace. Your pay will be determined based on the region where you’ll located, so that’s something to consider.

If you meet the designed criteria after signing a non-disclosure agreement, you may be contacted following the sign-up process.

If you are selected after being contacted, the KWS group will receive a scheduling survey and a voucher code and a bunch of other useful documents up to 48 hours before your session is expected to get underway.

Unlike the old method of bug testing and debugging where you have to log in some rather complicated figures, numbers, and hex addresses, you simply have to fill out a survey while you play the game to offer feedback on the title.

Once the session test is over with, you’ll need to submit the survey to complete it.

The survey link does require personal information, and Keyword Studios say that the information is only to be used for work purposes. Some of the mods over at Kotaku In Action gave it a test run and gave the all clear, so if you were interested in adding a part-time job to your plate that included play-testing upcoming games, maybe feel free to give it a look-see to find out if it’s something you might be interested in.
