Railway Empire Set To Launch On Steam, PS4, Xbox One January 26th, 2018

Kalypso Media recently revealed a new trailer for the strategy title in the works for PC, PS4 and Xbox One called Railway Empire. The game is due to drop come January 26th, 2018.

The trailer for the game runs through the features as quickly as possible in just under 30 seconds. The trailer starts by showcasing how players can use the terrain deformation utilities to stretch and extend the environment where you plan to place the tracks, and how various types of topography will change (and challenge) how your trains traverse the terrain.

You’ll also have to supply goods to and from various towns in order to increase commerce and improve the hustle and bustle of nearby cities. You can check out the trailer below to get a glimpse at Railway Empire in action.

The trailer manages to pack in a ton of details and content about the game in just under half a minute, much more-so than so many other titles out there that seem to fail to get the point across as to what they’re actually about or how the game is actually played.

In fact, they even have some neat specialty features in Railway Empire that allows you to hop into the conductor’s seat of the 40 different trains mirrored after real life locomotive models. So you can travel from one destination to the next, seeing exactly what it looks like to ride in the multi-ton, motorized caravan of steel.

Along the way you’ll have to develop technologies over the span of 100 years, starting with the old coal-powered locomotives and working your way up to more modern machines.

There’s a total of 300 different technological items to research and build, along with various types of infrastructures and other mechanical improvements to help aid in your progress to control the supply of goods across the Western frontier.

If you’re interested in the railroad tycoon sim you can look for Railway Empire to launch on PC, PS4 and Xbox One starting January 26th, 2018 next year. Pre-purchases have opened up over on the Steam page but it’s probably a lot wiser to wait for user reviews before committing to a purchase.
