Seven Deadly Sins Set To Launch On PS4 January 25th, 2018 In Japan

Bandai Namco released a new trailer for the upcoming Seven Deadly Sins: Knights of Britannia, which is actually the game’s opening cinematic intro. The video lasts for about a minute and a half and gives gamers a look at the uniquely diverse cast of playable characters.

We see that there’s a giantess battling a giant shark monster in the middle of a middle-ages European village; we see some kid flying around who conveniently goes right under the legs of the giantees, getting a good whiff of the battle; we see two knights duking it out; and we get to see a lonely lady standing on a street corner.

You can check out the intro cinematic below, which was posted up over on Bandai’s official YouTube channel.

The game was originally announced shortly after E3 during the Anime Expo, way back in July of this year. Not many details were made clear or apparent about the game other than that it was a colorful anime-inspired hack-and-slash game based on the manga of the same name and that players would join the main heroes on a journey throughout the game world as they face off against dangerous foes.

The actual game is a cel-shaded title relying on the typical manga-style character art and seemingly borrows from Bandai’s Naruto/Dragon Ball/One Piece combat mechanics.

One thing is for sure, I’m willing to bet that the giantess will likely be one of the more favored characters on the roster.

So far Bandai has only revealed the release date for the Japanese version of the game, which is due out on January 25th, 2018 early next year. So if you don’t mind reading (or listening to) the Japanese dialog, you can import it for the PS4 starting next year. Otherwise you’ll have to wait for the localizers to get finished with the Western version.

You can keep track of the game by visiting the official website, even though there isn’t a whole lot of info available on there.
