Crian Soft is still updating their sword-and-sexy game, Age of Barbarian: Extended Cut. The game regularly receives updates and news for new content for the budget-priced hack-and-slash side-scroller. The latest DLC announced for the game is The Slave Fortress, which the team is currently working on right now with a scheduled release for the end of January in 2018.
The new content wasn’t detailed, but we can sort of get an idea as to what to expect from the gory, nudity-filled fantasy adventures featured in the 1980’s inspired hack-and-slash romp.
The news about the DLC was featured in a Steam community post by Crian Soft. They mentioned that it will be a dangerous “side quest” that will span about several hours in gameplay length, which isn’t too far off from the standard DLC outings these days that are typical microtransactions or loot boxes.
Age of Barbarian originally came out early in 2016, and quickly gained a cult following not unlike the hard-R fantasy movies it was based on from a bygone era. The game obviously pays homage to Conan The Barbarian, the Deathstalker series, along with movies like the The Warrior and the Sorceress, and The Barbarian Queen.
The game is extremely rough around the edges, but Crian Soft has been slowly but surely upgrading and refining the experience to give gamers something to sink their fingers (and eyes) into for a very long time to come.
The game has a small but loyal following, and has so far escaped from the evil eye of feminists and SJWs.
The base game is available right now for only $12.99 over on the Steam store. If the screenshots and description didn’t give anything away, take note that the game is filled to the brim with gore, blood, boobs, butts, and nudity. So if that’s your idea of a fun night in… you’re going to have plenty of fun.
