Twitter recently put a new policy into place and stated that they would be enforcing the policy starting December 18th, 2018. Various accounts have been permanently suspended by Twitter while others have been added to what appears to be a permanent shadowban list.
Yahoo! is reporting that the leaders of the Britain First far-right British political party have been permanently suspended, which includes Paul Golding and Jayda Fransen. The group is against open borders in Britain. The main Britain First Twitter account has also reportedly been permanently suspended as well.
Jayda Fransen was also arrested for giving a speech in Ireland. If you attempt to watch the videos from the Britain First YouTube channel you’ll be warned that the content has been restricted by YouTube’s Limited State Content Policy.
As reported by CBS, the group is locked in a battle against extremist Muslims in Britain who also want to instill Sharia Law into both the U.K., and the U.S. This has inevitably led to groups on both sides locking horns, with Britain First advocates wanting to be rid of the multiculturalism in Britain and the Muslims wanting to have all women covered from head to toe, whether they observe Islam or not.
Britain First wasn’t the only one hit by Twitter’s new policy change. As noted on their blog post that was published on December 18th, 2017, any users or organizations that contain imagery that Twitter deems hateful or offensive will also receive restrictions on their accounts…
“Specific threats of violence or wishing for serious physical harm, death, or disease to an individual or group of people is in violation of our policies.
“Our hateful conduct policy and rules against abusive behavior prohibit promoting violence against or directly attacking or threatening other people on the basis of their group characteristics, as well as engaging in abusive behavior that harasses, intimidates, or uses fear to silence another person’s voice.”
BBC is reporting that Twitter has already gone after the End Time Paradigm, the American Nazi Party, the Traditionalist Worker Party, and the members of the League of the South, along with Jared Taylor from the American Renaissance.
Others are also being suspended permanently, but you may only be able to find out who is being suspended due to the #TwitterPurge hashtag.
Twitter is now censoring the appearance of the Nazi Swastika, which definitely makes you wonder how imagery from games like Call of Duty: WWII and Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus may appear on social media?
Beyond the censoring of symbols and imagery, and permanently suspending accounts from ethno-nationalists, Twitter has also ramped up their shadowbanning efforts, stifling the voices of those who they deem to be problematic. Journalist Ian Miles Cheong informed his Twitter followers that popular pro-#GamerGate Twitter user Mombot has been shadowbanned by Twitter.
Twitter isn’t suspending every account. It’s shadowbanning some. You can check to see if you’re shadowbanned here: https://t.co/Kg0ElmlXVL
For instance, @mombot is shadowbanned.

You can check for yourself if you’ve been shadowbanned or one of the people you’re following has been shadowbanned by checking the Shadowban-Checker website.
Back in February, 2017, Twitter had admitted to shadowbanning users. This method of censorship essentially makes it where the user can freely tweet and retweet but people will not be able to regularly see their tweets.
Various social media services such as Facebook, Disqus and Google have also been ramping up their censorship efforts in order to push certain sociopolitical viewpoints while curtailing the public accessibility of viewpoints they deem “hateful”, “supremacist”, “toxic”, or “problematic”.
