EA CFO Confirms New Motive Game To Release Sometime In 2021

EA Chief Financial Officer Blake Jorgensen took to the stage during the 27th Nasdaq Investor Conference to talk about BioWare’s Anthem and the new IP by Motive set to debut sometime in the year 2021.

EA, a company batter known as Electronic Arts, has been in the news for some pretty controversial stuff, but this time the company is in the news for an announcement regarding an unexpected release date for a mystery IP that dev team Motive happens to be over.

EA’s CFO, Blake Jorgensen, recently attended the 27th Nasdaq Investor Conference to talk about the company and future moves. While on stage, we learn from publication site comicbook.com that he covered the ongoing status of BioWare’s Anthem, and that of Motive’s IP.

Rehearsing information that we already know about Anthem set to release on March 31st, 2019, Jorgensen changed the subject over to Motive’s new game that will release much further  down the road from now.

Motive’s game is estimated to launch between April 2020 through March 2022. The thing is, though, EA and Motive are noted by the publication site to have a slated time frame of 2021 for this new IP.

Jorgensen mentioned that there is a lot of “franchises” in the works that range from triple-A to smaller projects that may never see the light of day. It’s unclear at this point if the same applies to Motive’s game, but the dev team was allotted a 25% budget according to the report, which means that time will tell if it will be canned or not.

The setting and theme of this new IP by Motive has not been announced either, meaning we’ll likely hear more about this mysterious game in the future.
