From Software Developer Confirms Armored Core Series Will Continue

Mecha fans, From Software fans, and Armored Core fans should be pretty happy right about now given that From Software’s developer, Yasunori Ogura, has confirmed on Twitter that the Armored Core series will continue in the future.

In a recent set of tweets sent out by developer Ogura of From Software, we learn that the series known as Armored Core will be worked on sometime in the future. The last entry in the series was Armored Core: Verdict Day, which released back in 2013.

If you don’t know anything about the series of games, Armored Core is a series developed by From Software, the creators of Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls, Dark Souls 2, Dark Souls 3, and Bloodborne. Armored Core games center around controlling highly customizable mecha known as Armored Cores, whilst taking up different missions against different foes in third-person shooter combat.

Now that you have somewhat of an idea as to what the series of Armored Core has to offer, a tweet from Ogura explains the current situation of the Armored Core series:

A rough translation of the tweet reads that folks should look out for the Armored Core 20th anniversary music special, which later transcends over to the Armored Core series not ending, and to be patient for a continuation.

The next tweet that is separate from the one above reads the Armored Core 20th anniversary commemoration PS4 theme will drop on December 5th, 2017, in Japan and that fans should take a look at it by downloading the theme. The tweet encourages gamers to download it since from now on the team will continue to push development on the Armored Core series.

The real question behind all of this, would you like to see From Software revisit other titles under its belt like Otogi, Tenchu, Another Century’s Episode or Bloodborne 2? Or would a new Armored Core game sate your mecha thirst?
