Horizon Chase Turbo For PS4 Features 110 Tracks, 4-Player Split-Screen

Sony finally unveiled a truly noteworthy game during PSX 2017 this year for PS4 gamers: Horizon Chase Turbo. The upcoming 3D racing game is a retro throwback to classic old-school arcade racers like Chase H.Q. and Outrun.

The upcoming racing title received a brand new 39 second teaser during the PlayStation Experience 2017 event in Anaheim, California this past weekend. The trailer teases some of the retro tracks you’ll be racing on, and some of the retro graphics you’ll be experiencing while racing on them. You can check out the teaser trailer below.

Horizon Chase Turbo features a complete campaign mode with 110 tracks, up to four-player split-screen action through a multiplayer co-op campaign mode, or you can partake in a variety of versus modes via intense tournaments and endurance trials.

If you were in attendance at the PSX event this weekend, you were privileged to play the game with some hands-on time at booth no. 33 on the show floor.

The game basically evolves and elevates everything that was already present in Horizon Chase: World Tour. The game is being developed by Brazilian studio Aquiris, as the team of 70 seem to understand that sometimes gamers just want fun games. Instead of focusing on 8-bit pixel games or walking simulators, Aquiris seems to get it that gamers want fun games like they used to get back during the 1980s and the 1990s.

I know I rag on the PS4 a lot for not having any games, but Horizon Chase Turbo is definitely a game worth having based on the info and trailer. All it has to do is deliver a great soundtrack and tight controls and it’ll be in my library faster than an anti-#GamerGate male feminist can get outed as a sex pest.

Horizon Chase Turbo is due for release this upcoming spring in 2018 for PS4 and on Steam for PC.
