(Last Updated On: December 17, 2017)

Not that much is known about the next Call of Duty game. However we do know that Infinity Ward has a new research and development studio based in Kraków, Poland. Some fans speculate that this studio will help update the CoD game engine, but what is known is that Michal Drobot will lead the new Infinity Ward Poland team.

Last information surrounding a new CoD game came in the form of Treyarch posting up a job listing back on September 8th, 2017 looking for someone who has deep knowledge of firearms and modern military tech:

After that not much has surfaced on the next CoD game, until now. Infinity Ward, not Treyarch, recently posted up a notice about a new studio expansion in Kraków, Poland.

Infinity Ward Poland is said to become a home to a research and development team that will be working closely with the Infinity Ward Los Angeles studio.

Here’s the notice that the team posted up on

“We’re thrilled to announce the expansion of our development capabilities with the opening of Infinity Ward Poland,” said Dave Stohl, Studio Head for Infinity Ward. “We’re building a world-class R&D studio that will tap into the creative local game development culture and talent in Poland. This expansion will further solidify our position as one of the most dedicated and accomplished teams in the industry. We look forward to great things to come.”

As noted above, Michal Drobot or the Principal Rendering Engineer will lead the new Infinity Ward Poland team.

If you don’t know what the Infinity Ward team has cooked up in the past in the CoD universe, the following titles include the original Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Call of Duty: Ghosts, and the game that has one of the most down voted trailers of all time Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

The current rumor surrounding the Infinity Ward team based in Poland is that the studio will be used to re-work or tweak the current Call of Duty game engine, but don’t take that as fact, though.
