Warlocks 2: God Slayers Co-op Action-RPG Coming To Steam In 2018

Fat Dog Games and Frozen District have announced that their side-scrolling, dimension-traveling, action-RPG, Warlocks 2: God Slayers, is set to arrive on Steam in the first quarter of 2018.

The game is like a mix of old-school action games from the 16-bit era but with new-school features such as randomly generated loot, massive-sized bosses to battle, and enhanced AI mechanics.

The game will support both local and online multiplayer, so players will be able to team up with their best buddy and hack and slash their way through a handful of gods while attempting to restore balance to the universe.

A trailer was put out recently to give you a look at what to expect from the upcoming ARPG.

While this may be an indie title, developer Frozen District has put a lot of time and energy into animating and adding details to the game to give it an atmospheric and detailed look.

As you can see from the trailer, the character sprites have a lot of personality, and both the player and the enemies have fairly dynamic combat animations.

In a way, this game reminds me a bit of Slain: Back From Hell, which is a metalcore hack-and-slash, medieval, heavy-metal platformer.

Anyway, if you’ve been keen on playing a game featuring highly detailed sprites with a lot of quality hand-drawn artwork, it appears as if Frozen District has your back covered.

The final game of Warlocks 2: God Slayer will feature three different worlds to travel across, with just over a handful of monstrous bosses to defeat, 40 different enemies to slay, up to four-player cooperative action, and five playable characters. They even have procedurally generated side-quests so if you get bored and decide to replay it again, you’ll have something new and interesting to discover along the way.

Warlocks 2: God Slayer is due out during the first quarter of 2018, and you can learn more by visiting the Steam store page.
