Light Road Games is working on a new title set to arrive on Steam starting at some point in late January. The game is a wave-based survival game that’s a third-person shooter where you play as a hottie in a tank top and some tight pants with some big boobs and an equally big gun.
The fan-service isn’t as overt as some other games out there, but it certainly offers gamers a bit more than what you’ll find in the Islam-approved garb that most female characters wear in AAA titles.
You can check out the trailer below to see the wave-based third-person shooter in action and get an idea of what Light Road Games is working on.
Surprisingly, the gameplay looks a heck of a lot better than it has any right to. The gib on the ground, the gore littering the arena, the ragdoll physics, and the bodies splayed about like some kind of Christmas decoration on a decrepit floor that was stitched together with 5.56mm rounds from a full-auto assault rifle, all work in cohesion to help bring the game’s bloody-gory gameplay to life.
The low-rent Lara croft has access to a number of different weapons as you can see in the trailer, and she reacts to the use of each weapon in an appropriate manner, with recoil having an effect on aiming, and various weapons packing different kinds of punches. The Lara Croft knockoff will have access to shotguns, Uzis, assault rifles, sniper rifles, rocket launches and miniguns.
The gameplay progression is very much like Killing Floor, where you have to repel ever-increasing waves of dangerous zombie opponents.
To help aid you in your seemingly impossible task are a collection of traps and tower defense style contraptions that can cut, electrocute, maim, sever, and mutilate the zombie hordes.
You’ll have a bevy of skills to upgrade over time, along with weapon upgrades, and resource gathering. The developers also hope to add a cooperative mode in the game over time, depending on how things work out while Blood Waves makes it way through Steam’s Early Access phase.
If you’re worried about the game being stuck in Early Access like some sort of tax-evading American who dies and ends up purgatory, you don’t have to fret too much because Light Road Games has plans on only keeping Blood Waves in Early Access up until spring of this year. So at most it’s only going to be in the development phase for a few months.
