Hideaki Itsuno Teases New Project Is Under Development

The director over Devil May Cry 4 and Dragon’s Dogma, Hideaki Itsuno, has announced that a new project is not only under development, but that fans should expect a great game. No word on platform release or what this new game is has been announced yet by Itsuno.

Back on December 7th, 2017 Capcom had revealed Devil May Cry HD Collection and its debut price, which runs for $29.99. The HD bundle will release both physically and digitally for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on March 13th, 2018. Following that news came publisher and developer Yunchang Game’s Devil May Cry: Pinnacle of Combat announcement.

Yunchang Game obtained the IP rights from Capcom to cook up WIP screenshots for the mobile title known as Pinnacle of Combat. Looking past the mobile game, the very thing that has piqued DMC fans’ interest has been a long running rumor of Devil May Cry 5 being in development, which former director over Devil May Cry 4 and Dragon Dogma, Hideaki Itsuno, seems to be fueling as of recent.

Taking to Twitter to wish gamers a happy new year comes some rather interesting information from Itsuno, although vague the information is noteworthy nonetheless.

You can read what the new tweet says below:

During late 2017 came two rumored pieces of info by DasVergeben and Son of Sparda explaining that Itsuno has a secret project. The secret project is, in fact, underway thanks to Itsuno’s latest tweet, but it’s uncertain if this secret project is Devil May Cry 5.

Given the recent attention by Capcom toward the Devil May Cry series — much like the HD collection and licensed mobile game by Yunchang Game — we just might see something this year or in 2019 that resembles Devil May Cry 5.

Time will most certainly tell what Capcom has in store for gamer, but until then fans of Devil May Cry should keep their eyes opened for any clues dropped by the director in question.
