Ironsight, Futuristic PvP FPS Enters Open Beta February 1st

Gamigo Games and Aeria Games announced that their first-person, free-to-play shooter, Ironsight will enter into open beta access starting February 1st next month. Gamers who have somehow not grown tired of the over-saturation of free-to-play first-person shooters can try their hand at the latest one to come out of the German game publisher’s wares.

The title features a lot of futuristic technologies for players to exploit, including sticky mines, drones, and an assortment of armament that will likely be standard fare come 2025, which is when the game is set.

Ironsight sports 100 different weapons and attachments, strategic drone operations, character customization, and a built-in clan system. The game is also running on an in-house engine built by Wiple Games, who is one of the last few MOFPS developers from the last generation to survive the great South Korean purge. So you’ll be able to see how well the custom-made engine operates in comparison to the other shooter games out there once February 1st rolls around.

While the full game will feature 10 different maps, the beta phase will focus on four of the newest maps in the game. The beta will also house a new game mode and a new mission type. You can see what Ironsight looks like in action with the trailer below.

The full game will feature a handful of different game modes, including Search and Destroy, Team Deathmatch, Secure Point, and Resource Takeover.

There’s also a cooperative mode included as well, featuring two different game types in the form of Mission: EMP and a team deathmatch against AI opponents.

The game’s customization mechanic is themed around allowing players to build out their own character archetype by equipping them with weapons and items that best suit their play-style.

The gameplay looks like the typical Call of Duty-style first-person shooter, so if you’re interested in that kind of thing you can sign up with a free account and register in preparation for the open beta, which is set to get underway starting February 1st next month.
