Koei Tecmo Shows Off Parts Of Dynasty Warriors 9 Open World With New Video

Koei Tecmo and Omega Force are looking to pump fans up ahead of Dynasty Warriors 9‘s early February launch for PC, PS4 and Xbox One by releasing a new video showcasing the game’s open world, sporting fighting, shopping, hunting, and exploration.

Following up on the previous action trailers and the the first official gameplay video trailer, Koei Tecmo has released a second gameplay video for Dynasty Warriors 9 showing the new open world.

The video is titled “Playing Around in the Open World” and shows folks the series’ first leap from map based stages to an actual free-roaming open world that gamers can explore through different time periods.

It’ll be interesting to see Dynasty Warriors 9 in action when it releases in full, but we’ll have to wait until early February to know how this big leap for the series pans out.

In the meantime of waiting for the game to drop, we do have a new video, as noted above, showing all sorts of activities that can be realized in Dynasty Warriors 9 open world.

Introduce elements in said video, aside battles, come in as town facilities, shopping, hunting, fishing and exploring the vast land of China. You can watch the video that Koei Tecmo posted here.

It’s unclear if the game will feel empty while playing through its vast open world. Hopefully the progression of each of the 10 and more chapters that comprise the game’s story will add a spacious atmosphere to the world of Dynasty Warriors 9.

In addition to the above and according to the official website, players will be able to choose how they want to proceed through each chapter, whether it is by completing every single mission, freely roaming the land or rushing the final objective. This setup should provide an ample amount of things to do at launch and beyond.

Dynasty Warriors 9 is due out for PS4 on February 8th in Japan, and for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on February 13th across the West.
