Kingdom Hearts 3 New Trailers Reveal Monsters, Inc. And New Theme Song

During the 2018 D23 Expo in Japan, Square Enix released two new videos for Kingdom Hearts 3. The first video confirms rumors about Monsters, Inc. being in the game, while the second video reveals a new theme. Kingdom Hearts 3 is set to release across PS4 and Xbox One.

Looking over to the D23 Expo Japan 2018 event, Square Enix has released a trailer showing the monsters from Monsters, Inc., which includes Mike, Sully, and Boo. We also get to see Vanitas and Marluxi.

The trailer shows more of the Toy Story world and the Tangled world. We also get to so Sora team up with popular Disney characters like Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider.

The second video reveals the theme song for Kingdom Hearts 3, which is called “Don’t Think Twice” by Hikaru Utada. You can watch both videos thanks to Kingdom Hearts YouTube channel.

According to publication site GameSpot the Gummi Ship part will be broken down into two parts. The exploration part is said to be a bit “open-world” and the second part is enemy focused through a combat phase.

Furthermore, over at the Osaka Square Enix studio it is said that all 100 staff members are working hard to deliver the best product they can. The team is split up to handle sections of Kingdom Hearts 3, which are labeled “Early”, “Middle”, and “Late”.

Development on the “Early” section is said to be around 90% done, while the “Middle” section is around 60% done. The “Late” section is described by director Tetsuya Nomura as something he always wanted to put into Kingdom Hearts, which is bound to surprise everyone.

Lastly, each of the three sections will have around three worlds. It is said, though, the actual game could feature more than nine worlds.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is set to launch for PS4 and Xbox One in 2018.
