The developers behind Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs have announced that the upcoming side-scrolling game will feature events that match up with the show 1:1. These events found in the show will also be playable. The game itself will drop across PC, Nintendo Switch, 3DS and the Dreamcast… yes, the Sega Dreamcast.
Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs has additional information about the latest video game to explore themes of the anime.
Not only will specific scenes show up in the game found in the anime, gamers will be able to play through them. This is good news in that we finally get a bit more insight as to what we can expect from the actual gameplay story arc, and it breaks the silence that has been looming around this project for some time.

It’s unclear if gamers will be able to play scenes and scenarios from all 52 episodes of the Western anime version or just select scenes? While we wait, we do learn from the above tweet that progress is going well.

The last progress update reveals that a “Big update” will come soon. Sadly, no information explaining what this big update has in store for Kickstarter backers and gamers alike, but it could be potentially gameplay footage.
