If you’ve been looking for a zombie micromanagement real-time strategy game for the Nintendo Switch, developer Awesome game Studios’ I, Zombie is set to launch for the home console starting March 8th.
You start off as a simple zombie and your goal is to infect other people and get them to join your undead army. As you bite them and lure them into your clan your army grows stronger and your abilities increase. You can see what the gameplay is like with the trailer below.
As you increase your army and evolve your tactical skillset, you’ll have to navigate through the levels, get to the end and avoid losing all of your undead compatriots.
The objective is to either kill all the human enemies or infect them and turn them into one of your many brainless legions.
After you beat the main game and make your way through all of the standard levels there’s actually another completely separate mode where you can modify and create your very own challenge levels. You can place down the houses you want to use, the obstacles you want to set in the pathway of both zombies and humans alike, and even setup what sort of defenses you’ll have to destroy or the obstructions you’ll need to overcome.
The game is designed with simple pick-up-and-play tap commands along with arcade-quality puzzles designed mostly for younger gamers.
They don’t mention if the custom made maps can be shared online, but it would be a real shame if you couldn’t.
You can look to pick up a copy of the game for yourself on the Nintendo Switch starting March 8th for €4.99 from the Nintendo eShop.
