Achtung! Cthulhu Tactics: The Forest Of Fear Coming To Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One
Achtung Cthulhu

Auroch Digital and Ripstone Games announced that Achtung! Cthulhu Tactics – The Forest of Fear is coming for the Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The game is scheduled to launch later this year.

The game takes place during World War II, and players will take on the role of Allied heroes trapped behind enemy lines. The goal is to foil a Nazi plot by uncovering the inner workings of their machinations and put an end to it.

The game mixes in typical Nazism with Cthulhu-inspired lore. Achtung! Cthulhu Tactics is based on the tabletop board game of the same name.

The combat system is themed around a good versus evil and light versus dark setup. You’ll have draw out the monstrous, Cthulhu-Nazis, who gain their power from hiding in the shadows.

Part of the combat system relies on players building up momentum in order to unleash devastating attacks, as well as utilizing the momentum to unleash combo-oriented strikes between your teammates.

Unfortunately there’s no video to demonstrate how this works, but they do have a description of what they have planned for Achtung! Cthulhu Tactics over on the Kickstarter page. The game was already funded so you don’t have to worry about putting coins in the coffers of the developers.

Instead all you’ll have to do is sit around and wait for the game to actually launch. According to the Kickstarter page they have plans on shipping the title out this upcoming September. They have plans on adding a lot of weapons, levels, and locations to the turn-based strategy game leading up to release. Although, technically it would seem like a greater focus should be on giving gamers a core idea of the actual gameplay.

Anyway, you can keep track of development via the Kickstarter page.
