Aragami: Nightfall DLC Features Two Playable Characters, Cross-Platform Co-op Play

Spanish game developer, Lince Works, announced that an all new story addition to the game Aragami, called Nightfall, is a prequel to the events that take place in the original game. The prequel features a four-chapter story arc that follows two playable characters, Hyo and Shinobu, with options available for single-player and cross-platform co-op play.

The best part about the co-op play is that Line Works has made it cross-platform when it launches in a couple of months for the PC and PS4.

I can’t help but feel as if the two playable characters in Aragami: Nightfall are a complete call-back to Rikimaru and Ayame from Tenchu.

The video reveals some co-op moments where players will be able to work together to take down foes, execute tandem kills, and make use of some new abilities to help aid Hyo and Shinobu in their quest to track down an ancient Alchemist in order to revive one of their closest companions. This ties into the events that eventually take place in the main game, involving Aragami and Yamiko.

The story expansion will be available as a DLC pack for those who already own the original Aragami. The expansion will enable PC and PS4 gamers to engage in cross-platform play in the stealth-oriented third-person title, which could likely increase the game’s appeal for newcomers who have yet to dive in.

For those of you holding out for an Xbox One or Nintendo Switch port, you may not have to hold out for long because Lince Works noted in the press statement that they are considering ports of Aragami to additional platforms. It could only help the game’s sales.

There’s no exact date on when the expansion will be made available for PC and PS4, but Aragami: Nightfall is expected to launch within the next few months. For more info don’t hesitate to hit up the game’s official website.
