BloodStained: Ritual Of The Night Update Covers Music, Dual Audio And Alpha Demo

Koji Igarashi has posted up a new BloodStained: Ritual of the Night update on Kickstarter that covers dual audio, music and an alpha demo. The upcoming 2.5D platformer is set to release for PC via Steam and GOG, PS4, PS Vita, Xbox One, and Switch.

BloodStained: Ritual of the Night seems to be shaping up quite well at the moment, and one part that’s quickly coming together happens to be the music. As posted by Koji Igarashi or IGA, we learn a bit more as noted below:

“Hello, IGA here.

For the last update, we gave a behind the scenes look at the recording of the promised orchestra tracks. Just to get straight to the point, hearing the live sound was really powerful! Up to now I’d always thought, “Synth on its own sounds awesome!” but then I was astonished.

But…producing live music is really expensive, isn’t it…?

We’ve put together some samples, so please try comparing the two yourself.”

He continued:

“I was moved by the professionalism and commitment of these musicians. This was especially true for the violinists, who played chords that they weren’t even sure were possible to play at first. It’s amazing! Now I understand why people like to do concerts.”

You can listen to the new sample music right here, which consists of the Theme of Bloodstained, Voyage of Promise, and Gears of Fortune.

If you don’t know, the final version of Bloodstained will be playable in six languages:

  • English
  • Japanese
  • German
  • French
  • Spanish
  • Italian

Voice acting tracks and text will be available in Japanese and English, which the latter is in the works as we speak.

“We also just finished recording the English voiceovers. Although this was our first time working with this recording studio, we felt that—with the help of a lot of prior preparation—the recording sessions went very successfully. It was definitely a good idea to have the English voices recorded overseas.”

IGA also shared that an “alpha backer demo” will make an appearance sometime soon. Eager fans awaiting the appearance of said demo can read what’s to come:

“In order to share our progress… don’t you think it’s time for an Alpha Backer demo?

As Roberto mentioned, we are planning to allow backers to experience a slice of the game, from the beginning to a certain point. At the same time, we would also like you to experience a quite cruel and ungodly boss. More details will come soon, it’s very exciting!”

Lastly, if you’re thinking about heading to Austin for SXSW, there’s still some time to see IGA’s panel. Moreover, the panel will kick-off on March 17th at 2:00 P.M. on the Discovery Stage at Exhibit Hall 2. You can learn more about the event by hitting up gaming.sxsw.com.
