FoxTail, Point-and-Click Adventure Game Enters Early Access On Steam

Gingertips Game Studio recently announced that their point-and-click adventure game FoxTail has entered into Early Access on Steam. The game is a throwback to the old-school adventure games from the 1990s.

You take on the role of the furry-luring fox, Leah. She’s on a pretty simple quest: save her dying grandmother.

Your objective is to explore the forests, swamps and other locations throughout the game world, helping other animals and searching for a cure for your grandmother.

Throughout the journey Leah will also have to discover the hidden secret of her grandfather’s mystical past. Let’s just hope that the secret isn’t that he was a master DJ of a furry mosh pit.

You can check out the trailer for FoxTail below to get a look at the game and the art.

Visually the game is designed to mimic the hand-drawn art-style of classics like Westwood Studios’ Legend of Kyrandia.

While the game features plenty of feel good moments, the description states that Leah won’t have an easy go of it, and will have to trudge through swamps, mines, and mazes in order to complete her quest.

The game is currently still in development, and according to the Early Access FAQ Gingertips Game Studio have plans to spend another year and a half finishing off FoxTail.

What’s currently available in the game sees it priced at only $6.99. They have plans on raising the price once the full version of the game is complete, which will be at some point in the latter half of 2019.

If you were interested in learning more or adding it to your wishlist, you can do so by paying a visit to the Steam store page.

I imagine a game like this will be pretty popular with the furry crowd and will spawn the kind of fanart that will make many fathers disappointed and many mothers very, very afraid.
