Power And Revolution: Geopolitical Simulator 4 2018 Update Adds Current Events

SpaceX, the North Korean missile crisis, and organized terrorist cells are just a few of the things added to the latest 2018 update for Eversim’s Power & Revolution: Geopolitical Simulator 4.

The update is currently available as part of the 2018 edition of the game, which also recently received support for additional languages beyond English, French and German; this includes Italian, Russian, Portuguese, Japanese and Mandarin for Chinese gamers.

The update adds the ability to create a Mars colonization space program, not unlike Elon Musk’s SpaceX, along with deep space research, improved cybersecurity to stop cyber-terrorism aimed at shutting down key infrastructure, and creating and maintaining dossiers on known terrorist cells.

You can finally clean up the world and rid it of terrorism once and for all by ruling the world with an iron fist.

The update for the 2018 edition of the game may be free but the 2018 edition add-on is not. You will have to churn out $19.99 for the 2018 features, along with an additional $49.99 for the base Power & Revolution game.

The full game features 175 different countries to control, more than 600 different data variables to parse, and a wide range of different types of economic, security, diplomatic and military principles to apply to the ruled nations under your thumb.

Unfortunately for Eversim, the user rating is mixed on the game – not because it lacks any gameplay features or is wanting in any area dealing with a very thorough and deeply intertwining strategic game about managing geopolitics, but because there are apparently a lot of unfixed bugs from when the game first launched back in 2016.

Hopefully the developers can get a handle on a lot of the game-breaking bugs, deal with the DRM and excise the presence of glitches. It sounds like a lot of gamers would love to sing Power & Revolution praises, but the plight of gameplay issues prevents it from standing among the pavilion of the great geopolitical sims of old.

Even still, if you want to check the game out or keep an eye on the updates, you can do so by visiting the Steam store page.
