Raging Justice, Retro Brawler Set For Release This Summer

Team17 and MakinGames announced that the beat-’em-up co-op game, Raging Justice, will debut on PC, Mac, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch starting in the second quarter of 2018.

The game stars Rick Justice and Nikki Rage, as the duo team up to take back the mean streets of Big Smoke City. They plan on painting the walls red with rage, and cleaning up the alleyways with the busted teeth of scumbags.

Players will battle through a variety of levels, punching, kicking, and using a plethora of weapons to engorge on a buffet of violence. Players will be able to crack skulls with baseball bats, lawnmowers and more, in the throwback beat-’em-up game from MakinGames.

A new trailer was released for Raging Justice that you can check out below, which highlights some of the game’s many different melee moves you can utilize to take down the thugs, and wipe out the baddies that have overrun your city.

The trailer showcases the two main characters using bats, axes, sledgehammers and shotguns to take down the bad guys.

It’s a little bit like the game Vendetta, but obviously with various weapons and mechanics that were featured in other classic games like Final Fight and Streets of Rage. The art-style is obviously reminiscent of classic arcade fighting games, like Atari’s Pit Fighter.

So far, there are still some major complaints from gamers about the two main characters. A lot of people still aren’t too keen on the designs of Nikki and Rick. I can’t really blame them… I mean Rick looks a bit geriatric and Nikki looks like she came out of a Salt ‘n Pepa music video from 1986.

Having proper characters to dispense justice is necessary in a game called Raging Justice. Two hard boiled cops would have been perfect, or maybe two street-wise brawlers. In a way, the duo protagonist and deuterogonist remind me of custom characters from APB: Reloaded

Anyway, Raging Justice looks like a decent enough brawler. Apart from the lack of inimitable main characters, it seems like it might be a decent entry in the beat-’em-up genre.

I just kind of wish we had the gameplay from Raging Justice but with the character designs from Mother Russia Bleeds. Oh well, you can’t win ’em all.

You can look for Raging Justice to launch sometime this summer for home consoles and PC. For more info feel free to visit the official website.
