Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Is Now available For Download On Steam

Fatshark announced that their first-person cooperative shooter, Warhammer: Vermintide 2, is currently available for purchase on Steam for $29.99. There’s also a special collector’s edition made available as well, which contains the full game, the official soundtrack, digital wallpapers, a portrait frame, digital maps, decorations for the keep, and an exclusive heroic deed for $44.99. The PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game will likely arrive at a much later date.

They don’t say when it’s coming to Sony and Microsoft’s consoles, but it’s coming.

The sequel to the 2015 outing brings a ton of new content to the table, including brand new maps, all new enemies, more character classes to play, all new weapons, and improved playability.

The launch trailer for the game, which is composed entirely of in-engine assets. You can see the various levels on display, along with the Skaven rat hordes taking on the human soldiers during the first half of the trailer.

The diorama-style depiction of the trailer later transitions over to showcase the new Chaos enemies that players will be facing off against this time, and the bloody carnage that will ensue.

This time around you’ll have five main heroes to choose from and 15 total classes at your disposal. Each class have specialty roles that you can focus on as you level them up through battle, unlocking new abilities and talents.

If you enjoy first-person melee combat, then you’ll get it in spades with Warhammer: Vermintide 2. The game’s main focus is on hacking and slashing down hordes of enemies in your path. Some light projectiles are also available for magic wielders and firearms specialists, too.

Early user reviews paint a positive picture of Fatshark’s outing, noting that it’s exactly the same as the first game but bigger, better, and more polished in every way imaginable. A lot of gamers are leaving short, sweet, and ebullient reviews of the game, pointing out that just about everything you would want to be improved about the original game, was improved for the sequel.
