Bullet Witch Available On Steam For $14.99; Doesn’t Includes Japanese Voices

Marvelous Entertainment and XSeed Games announced that the decade old Japanese shooter for the Xbox 360, Bullet Witch, is currently available right now on Steam for PC. You can pick up a digital copy for only $14.99, but during the first week of being on sale you can get your hands on the game for 10% off the normal price, meaning you only have to pay $13.49.

The third-person shooter is a generic entry in the genre that released during a time when Marvelous could capitalize on the hype surrounding widely popular games like Gears of War. Players are put in the role of a witch named Alicia, who comes riding in as an apocalyptic debutante, wielding a gunrod in order to save humanity during a demonic invasion.

As demons destroy human civilization, Alicia attempts to put them back in their place using four different weapon configurations and various elemental magic attacks. You can see what the gameplay is like with the video below.

The remastered version of Bullet Witch features UHD upgrades for PC gamers while maintaining a lot of the core elements that were originally featured in the Xbox 360 version of the game. This means you can still use weapons to destroy aspects of the environment, and duck and dodge out of the way during intense combat scenarios.

60fps gameplay and 120fps unlocked frame-rates are also available for those looking to take advantage of the improved technological gaps that have taken place in the PC hardware arena over the last decade.

The PC version of Bullet Witch also comes with all of the post-launch DLC included in the standard $14.99 package, so you won’t have to pay separately for any of the additional content that came out after the game’s initial release.

The only two major drawbacks holding back Bullet Witch are issues with the game’s control mappings, and the lack of native Japanese voiceovers in this edition of the game. A lot of gamers were hoping for the Japanese voiceovers since most people feel that’s the superior version of the game.

Maybe over time XSeed can include a voiceover pack containing the Japanese voices or maybe modders can come to the rescue and dump the audio files from the Japanese version of the Xbox 360 version and make them available for PC gamers.

Either way, if you were interested in checking out the decade old Bullet Witch on PC, you can do so right now by picking up a digital copy over on the Steam store.
