Iron Galaxy Studios and Modus Games’ Extinction failed to properly capture an audience with the hack-and-slash, giant-slaying gameplay on PC, PS4 or Xbox One. It was considered to be a Western rival for Attack on Titan but failed to live up to what little hype it conjured up. Nevertheless, for the people who did put some coin into Modus Games’ coffers, there are some cheats available to help you overcome whatever hardships you may have encountered.

You can download the Extinction cheat trainer from over on Cheat Happens.

The trainer contains the following cheats:

  • Unlimited Health
  • Unlimited Rune Energy
  • Kill Strike Always Available
  • Unlimited Jumps
  • Unlimited Civilian Deaths
  • Always Max Extinction Meter
  • Always Full Complete Rescue Civilians
  • Always Full Complete Kill Jackals
  • Add SP Credits
  • Fast Unlock Civilian Rescue Gems
  • Freeze Mission Timer

I think the most useful of the cheats is that the kill strike is always available. Typically you would have to build up your rune magic meter in order to acquire a kill strike, this would require cutting off the limbs or dismantling the armor of the Ravenii. With the kill strike always ready, it means you can just hop onto the giant’s back and slice his head off once his neck is exposed.

The unlimited jumps and unlimited civilian deaths would also be very useful given that for the super-tall Ravenii you can just use the unlimited jumps to reach their neck or vital areas, while the unlimited civilian deaths means that you don’t have to worry about saving the civilians during missions where it feels you’re being overrun with Ravenii.

While Extinction obviously won’t be winning any awards this year for “excellence” in any category, if you already own a copy of the game it doesn’t hurt to cheat your way through it. Extinction is currently available for PS4, Xbox One and on Steam for PC.
