Memories Of Mars Screenshot Update Shows Off Base Building And Enemies

505 Games and Limbic Entertainment seek to bring the open world survival game, Memories of Mars, to PC via Steam Early Access sometime this spring. In the meantime, the devs released new screens of enemies and the act of base building in Memories of Mars.

As a summary for this open world Sci-Fi survival game set on Mars, players will be thrown into an abandoned mining operation where they must take up the role of a recently awakened clone. This clone learns its lifespan is limited by the lethal solar flares that hit the surface of the planet, and must find a way to overcome these conditions.

Players will be able to explore over 16 KM2 of the red planet complete with deserts, craters, canyons, rocky planes, and mesas. Currently the game has well over 85 points of interest (PoI), whereupon mines, industrial facilities, biodomes and vehicles will be a thing.

With all of that said, players must build up livable structures to resist not only weather conditions, but to defend against deadly creatures. Steps, walls, pillars, and other build-able structures can be made to keep out creatures that consist of the newly introduced Serpentes. We only get to see two out of nine enemies, which happens to be the Mamba and the Viper Serpentes.

Given that we are in spring means that we should start to hear more about this game, whether it be a new trailer or more screenshots. Additionally, the devs seem pretty determined to ship the game out this quarter for Steam Early Access, which means a playable build should be announced quite soon.
