ResetERA Promotes Boycotting Play-Asia For Criticizing SJWs
Play-Asia Dead or Alive Xtreme 3

ResetERA’s resident denizens of outrage culture decided it was nigh time to start organizing a group boycott against the Hong Kong-based import outlet, Play-Asia. The company is known for being outspoken against corrupt game journalists, and for supporting game culture. After Play-Asia recently doubled down against the behavior of corrupt game journalists, ResetERA’s residents opted to retaliate by getting creating a thread called “Warning to ImportERA: Do NOT give Play Asia your business”, encouraging the community to boycott Play-Asia.

It started with a thread on Twitter where some Social Justice Warriors were claiming that the reason Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 was cancelled for release in the West was because no one wanted to buy it.

This literally flies in the face of the facts, where Koei Tecmo wanted to avoid getting smeared in the media by the Regressive Left, so they opted not to release the game in the West. Back on November 19th of 2015 their PR manager for the Facebook page originally stated…

“Do you know many issues happening in video game industry with regard to how to treat female in video game industry? We do not want to talk those things here. But certainly we have gone through in last year or two to come to our decision. Thank you.”

Many gamers still imported the game, causing it to break all previous sales records at Play-Asia as reported by Niche Gamer, and it managed to bolster the quarterly profits for Koei Tecmo thanks to the large import sales that Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 created, surpassing previous entries in the series, as noted by DualShockers.

However, in the tweet from Mombot, game journalists were set about smearing the game even though it didn’t release in the West. Play-Asia chimed in to note that it was the hostile environment from game journalists that led Koei Tecmo to forfeit porting the game to North America and Europe.

Even more than that, game journalists attempted to further smear Koei Tecmo by claiming that the VR patch for the game was “sexual assault” and attempted to create a narrative that the game was misogynistic and sexist. This was after former IGN and Gamespot journalists threatened Play-Asia for even daring to allow imports of Koei Tecmo’s Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, as reported by Nerd Reactor.

Journalist Liam Robertson also took jabs at Play-Asia, causing them to reply.

Play-Asia rebutting the false claims made by Twitter’s Social Justice mob caused the denizens of ResetERA to become angered. They claimed that Play-Asia attempted to direct harassment at a game journalists and that the company deserved to be boycotted.

Not only that, but some members suggested boycotting websites that run Play-Asia ads.

The thread devolves into bashing on Play-Asia for using “SJW” unironically and for not supporting the video game journalist clique.

One user who attempted to stand against the narrative was warned for “Trolling” because he said he wanted to further support Play-Asia.

Essentially, supporting Play-Asia is the equivalent of trolling.

One user even still maintains the belief that Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 sold poorly, even though it broke records for Play-Asia. Admiraltaftbar wrote…

“I’m honestly not sure why PlayAsia is trying to keep DOAX 3 relevent. Did they just stock way too many copies and then realized it’s really not a popular or good game? Is it really still lucrative to push how you defend it’s “right” to be sold to a market that the publisher decided probably didn’t want it enough to warrant a release.”

This is something SJWs have been doing for years; denying reality and attempting to rewrite history, no matter what the sales figures say, no matter how many websites adopt Regressive Left antics and attack video games based on sociopolitical agendas, and no matter how often proof emerges that journalists are creating toxic and divisive communities by ostracizing people who don’t agree with their politics.

In fact, it just recently happened when journalists at PAX East attempted to create a dogpile on an unnamed developer for tea-bagging.

At this point, ResetERA seems to have picked right back up where NeoGaf left off, continuing to create divisiveness and either force people into cultural communism or ban them for wrongthink.
