Chinese developer, Dark Star Game Studios, and Chinese publisher, Another Indie, announced that the grimdark hack-and-slash game, Sinner: Sacrifice For Redemption, will be coming to the Nintendo Switch this fall, in addition to launching for PC, PS4 and Xbox One for $18.99.
The announcement was accompanied by a brand new Nintendo Switch trailer, which showcases more of the gameplay for the upcoming title.
The hook for Sinner: Sacrifice For Redemption is that as players progress through the game they must make sacrifices to atone for the main character’s life of sin. As you make these sacrifices you grow weaker. You can acquire new equipment along the way, but every debuff you encounter from the sacrifices you make will lead toward the game becoming much harder the further in you progress.

The gameplay looks really good, but I’m wondering how well this game will run on the Nintendo Switch in the portable mode? That’s always been an issue for a lot of developers making games for the Switch. It has caused some games to receive some rather significant delays, such as Battle Chasers: Nightwar, Dragon Quest XI, and Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana.
I don wonder if Dark Star will be able to finish the Switch version of Sinner: Sacrifice For Redemption in time to launch this fall alongside the PC, PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game?
Regardless of the platform discrepancies, Iain Garner, the director of developer relations at Another Indie explained in the press release that the game affords for a lot of variety and options when it comes to the challenges and difficulty settings in Sinner: Sacrifice For Redemption, saying…
“Whether they are in search of the easiest order of bosses to fight or if they want to start the game with the most difficult conditions, Sinner tailors the adventure to them.”
The game was on display at some recent events where gamers managed to get some hands-on time with the game. Many claimed that it was very challenging and extremely hard, but in a good way.
