Subaeria, Isometric Action-Puzzle Game Graduates From Early Access May 9th

Canadian developer Studio Illogika announced that their isometric, action-oriented puzzle game, Subaeria, has been scheduled to release and graduate from Early Access on May 9th next month.

Originally the game was set to come out in April for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, but now the game is set to come out during the second week of may.

What exactly caused the delay? Well, the press notice states that it was to make a final polish pass on the game and touch up a few features before release across all three platforms, pushing the April 24th release back by a couple of weeks into May.

The delay is rather minor, though, and if you were looking forward to the release of the game then you’ll only have to wait a few extra weeks to play the full version.

At the moment, Subaeria is available on PC as an Early Access title. The game is an action-puzzler with some elements of a rogue-like. The objective is to make your way through a factory with murderous robots while using the robot’s own weapons against them. You can see how the game is played with the trailer below.

Players take on the role of Styx, a young girl out to get revenge for her murdered parents. She attempts to overthrow the overlord of Subaeria, using a companion drone to access new areas and unlock new locations, as well as trick the enemy robot guards into killing each other or tripping their own traps to disable them.

The objective is to eventually reach the dark depths in the underwater city of Subaeria and uncover the mysteries and secrets therein.

The game originally made its way to Steam’s Early Access platform back in September of 2015. The game was only supposed to be in Early Access for six months but it ended up spending the better part of three years in the developmental cycle.

You can look for the game to launch in full on PC, PS4 and Xbox One next month on May 9th for $14.99. You can learn more about it by checking out the Steam store page.
