E3 is a big event, and some feel that the event is big enough to skip other game related events to show off their portfolio of upcoming and future projects. Well, it looks like THQ Nordic is doing something different and will skip E3 2018, opting instead to attend Gamescom and PAX West.
Folks following E3 2018 and what companies will attend the annual event will find that THQ Nordic will not attend this year’s event. Additionally, over on thqnordic.com we learn that there are other events the company will be favoring this year instead of the big Electronic Entertainment Expo.
The company posted up a rather intriguing notice on the given website, which reads:
“It is with great regret that we at THQ Nordic must report that we will be unable to miss a single moment of this great sporting event. Therefore, we will be forced to stay in our lovely Viennese beer gardens, blowing the froth off a couple, watching football and one or two cool press conferences on Twitch (looking at you, Devolver) instead of rocking it ourselves.
We have to admit, we are going to miss our 9 AM pint of beer in the „Ye Olde King’s Head“-Pub in Santa Monica, where they show all matches live, but with the World Cup being held in Russia, it would mean a 7 AM beer – that’s too early, even for Austrians, let alone the Swedes.”
Furthermore, the company also stated in the update post what events it will show up to instead of E3 2018. Folks who are set to explore what riches Gamescom and PAX West have in store will find that the company will attend those two events instead, as noted below:
“We are looking forward to presenting all our great upcoming games like Darksiders 3, Biomutant, Fade to Silence or Wreckfest and even some unannounced titles for the first time at gamescom in Cologne, Germany and shortly after at PAX West in Seattle!”
That’s right, fans looking to get a nice glimpse at whatever Darksiders 3, Biomutant, Fade to Silence or Wreckfest has to offer will get it right then and there at Gamescom and PAX West.
Moreover, some unannounced titles will make an appearance too, but no hints or clues are in the note, which means that these unannounced games will come as a surprise during one of the two events.
With that all said, are you excited to see what THQ Nordic has lined up for gamers through these game events or no?
