Battlefield 2018 Will Have A Story Mode, Multiple Maps And Game Modes

During EA’s financial conference call for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2018, it was said that Battlefield 2018 will not only have a single-player campaign but it will also have the usual multiple maps and game modes to partake in. The upcoming Battlefield 2018 installment is set to debut sometime during the fourth quarter of this year.

Ahead of the EA Play event that will feature Battlefield 2018, which is said to offer players “intense action” through a playable demo, comes some information about this year’s Battlefield and what it will feature.

The information explains that Battlefield 2018 will debut with a story mode (potentially having War Stories like in Battlefield 1), multiple maps to play and a list of game modes to indulge in (which is nothing new to the series) derives from files.shareholder.com:

“With our next Battlefield game, the team at DICE is bringing the intensity of combat alive in new and unexpected ways. Every battle is unique, and every mode brings its own challenges, from the way you interact with the environment around you, to compelling single-player stories to the next level of large-scale multiplayer that spans across multiple maps and modes.”

The notice continues and reads that…

“This will be a deep and fully-featured shooter and ongoing service that will evolve with major new experiences for our community beginning right from launch. Building on the success of Battlefield 1 and taking inspiration from DICE’s core DNA, the new game will advance the state of the art for the franchise, while still delivering the signature gameplay and Battlefield moments that have captivated and grown our global community.”

To sum it all up, Battlefield 2018 will have “single-player stories” and “large-scale multiplayer that spans across multiple maps and modes,” coupled with service-like mechanics “right from launch.”

Moreover, back in late February, it was said that Battlefield 2018 would gain a reveal trailer in due time according to Senior Video and Media Director/Editor at EA DICE Sweden, Randy Evans, which should sate eager fans’ thirst for something pertaining to upcoming first-person shooter.

Something worth noting is that the reveal trailer was in very early development and considered to be work in progress back in February, and now we are marching toward the mid-part of May. In other words, if EA Play is set to kick-off from June 9th and Battlefield 2018 will be there, we should see the trailer drop within a week or two weeks from now.

Battlefield 2018 will debut later this year for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
