Bend Studio Says It Will Take Players Around 30 Hours To Beat Days Gone

Players that wish to play Days Gone at launch will find that it will take them around 30 hours to complete. Moreover, Bend Studio claims that players will be in for a surprise, though, and should expect it to take a lot longer to beat the game with all of the things going on. Days Gone is set to launch exclusively for PS4 sometime in 2019.

According to Bend Studio, Days Gone is not a typical “zombie survival game.” The team believes the upcoming game is more “realistic” and because of that various things can emerge during a playthrough, causing detours and other unexpected things along Deacon St. John’s journey.

The journey on average will take players roughly 30-hours to complete, but that’s only if the “golden path” isn’t obstructed by something else going on in the world of Days Gone:

“The golden path is going to take you about 30 hours, but it’s going to take you a lot longer than that because things are going to happen to you along the way depending on how careful you are and how much you pay attention.”

The above information comes from creative director John Garvin, during an interview with Game Informer.

If Days Gone will take players around 30-hours to beat without doing any side-quests or other objectives around the game’s world, folks should expect the game to take a lot longer to beat if all those side quests and activities are taken into consideration.

Something worth noting that Garvin brought up during the interview is that players will be able to alter how long the game will take to beat depending on how careful and attentive they are during a playthrough. In other words, it sounds like if players go in without paying attention to certain aspects of the game in a reckless way, it could take a long time to beat the game.

I’m sure E3 2018, which is just a month away, will shine more light on this game and what it has to offer, but until then Days Gone will make its debut sometime in 2019 for PS4.
