Astragon Entertainment and Stillalive Studios announced that the European-themed Bus Simulator 18 will launch on Steam in two weeks starting June 13th for $34.99.
The upcoming game features real life licensed buses from Mercedes-Benz, Setra, MAN, and IVECO. You’ll travel through 12 different districts, picking up and dropping off bipedal people and handicap pedestrians alike, as well as dealing with the ins and outs, challenges and shortcomings of both the big city life and the rural roads out in the country.
The German developers have finely tuned the game so that Bus Simulator 2018 features a number of driving simulation mechanics such as real-time weather conditions that affect the road surfaces, as well as potholes, traffic jams, fare evaders, and accidents.
You’ll also have to work on your precision driving skills as you attempt to weave through construction zones, navigate bus terminals, and deal with all the hazards and the fun times that come with night driving.
You can check out the trailer below, which gives you a look at some of the new buses you’ll be driving and some of the locations you’ll be visiting.
Graphically the game looks decent enough. Especially with the real-time day and night shifts, the dynamic tree physics and even god rays… I honestly did not expect to see god rays in Bus Simulator 2018.
In addition to this, the Unreal Engine 4-powered simulator also sports synchronous multiplayer driving. So you and your buddies can pick up passengers and whisk them around town much to their delight.
You can look for Bus Simulator 2018 to launch on June 13th, featuring eight buses from four manufacturers, and up to 5.8 square miles of routes to travel through.
The game will support gamepads, steering wheels and the Tobii eye tracking from TrackIR. You can learn more about the game by visiting the Steam store page.
