Conan Exiles Sold 1 Million Copies Before Graduating Early Access

Conan Exiles

Funcom has officially launched Conan Exiles for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The open-world survival game has been in Early Access since last year on PC, and managed to move more than 1 million copies before it graduated from Early Access.

Funcom released a new infographic over on the official Conan Exiles website in celebration of the launch. You can check out the infographic below.

Some of the stats are interesting. For instance, the map has expanded by two and a half times it’s initial size since last year. If Funcom continues to update the game it could expand another two and a half times by 2019.

The consumables, resources and crafting materials have also all been expanded, in some cases expanding by as much as 700%. On the softer side of the updates, monsters only more than doubled since release, where-as crafting recipes were multiplied by nearly seven times the initial amount.

On the more technical side of things, Funcom actually expanded the animations, quadrupling the amount of animation sets for the male and female custom characters and NPCs.

Some of these features are highlighted in the new four minute launch trailer, which you can check out below.

Graduating from Early Access hasn’t just been about multiplying existing content, though. Funcom also added different temperatures and weather for the different biomes, new world bosses, new combos for the melee combat, farming, war paint, purging, sieging, climbing, dungeons, and level perks, to name but a few.

The game has been extended and expanded in just about every conceivable area.

The only downside is that North American console gamers don’t have access to the full uncensored version of the game due to the ESRB. Europeans, however, have full access to boob jiggle and dong-dangling. PC gamers, no matter what region they’re located in, can access the full nudity feature in Conan: Exiles. The game is available right now for purchase for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
