If you’ve been playing the PC version of Final Fantasy VIII decades after the game originally came out for the PlayStation One in the 1990s, then you’re probably hard up for cash and can’t afford anything better to flesh out your PC gaming library with. Nevertheless, if you’re still in the mood to cheat in the game for whatever reason, there are some cheats available.
The first trainer has been made available for free from over on the Mr. Antifun page.
The Final Fantasy VIII cheat trainer contains the following cheats:
- Infinite Health
- Infinite Gauge
- Infinite Gil
The trailer was only recently added to the Mr. Antifun database and it captures only the most necessary cheats to get through the game, including giving yourself infinite health, the ability to utilize an infinite gauge so that you can dispatch of enemies quickly during battle, and infinite gil so you can buy whatever you want without running short on cash.
The second cheat trainer is also free and available for download from over on WeMod.com.
The second trainer contains the following cheat options:
- Unlimited Health
- Unlimited Items
- Add 5K Gold
- Instant Recharge
- Save Anywhere
The cheat trainer offers you a few more options than what you would get from the first trainer, including the ability to instantly add a bit of gold to your stash, or to save the game anywhere, which I imagine could be super useful in a game like Final Fantasy VIII where you have to endure quite a few cutscenes and plenty of dialogue where Squall twaddles on like a royal faggot.
Also, I don’t really know why anyone would need cheat trainers for this game in particular when it comes built in with cheats, but whatever.
Anyway, Final Fantasy VIII is an old, crusty game that was only serviceably ported over to PC. The ancient JRPG from back when Square used to make good games is available right now on the morally compromised Steam storefront for $11.99.
