Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will have a spin-off game realized in 8-bit named Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon. The 2D side-scrolling action game is a product of Inti Creates and will make its debut on May 24th for $9.99 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PS Vita, and 3DS.
Not too long ago, producer and scenario supervisor, IGA, released a video with the help of Inti Creates to announce the secret Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night spin-off game — Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon.
The 2D 8-bit game’s official trailer can be fully looked over right here, as seen below.
According to the official write-up that’s on Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon’s YouTube description, it reads that swords, whips, and alchemy will play an important role in this retro-style action game.
One of the main playable characters in Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon is Zangetsu, a demon slayer bearing a deep grudge, who must travel through deadly places to face-off with an ominous demon lurking in a dark castle. Other playable characters include the familiar Miriam, Alfred, and Gebel.
Each character has their own unique abilities, where some characters and abilities will unlock new paths throughout the dangerous 8-bit pixel stages. In other words, depending on your taste or choices in recruiting the other adventurers will change the difficulty of the game, and may even alter the ending.
If you are curious how much Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon is currently running for, you can expect to cough up $9.99 for the 2D adventure 8-bit game.
Although some gamers stressed that they would have preferred a 16-bit or 32-bit spin-off game set in said realm, the creators of the game noted that this is a Kickstarter stretch goal or more like an optional bonus for fans.
With all of that said, if this is a game that you can get behind, Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon will make its debut on May 24th across PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PS Vita, and 3DS.
