Republican Diane Black Blames Porn And Violent Movies For Recent School Shootings
Violent Movies Ban

Tennessee’s 6th congressional representative, Republican Diane Black, has made it known that America needs reform to excise school shootings from its culture; reform in the home, and reform of what’s considered culturally appropriate. According to the Congresswoman, America can’t properly become reformed with ease of access to pornography, and with so much violence available in movies.

According to MSN News, Black has been meeting with local pastors looking at ways to reduce the problem of school shootings. Black stated…

“[Porn is] available on the shelf when you walk in the grocery store. Yeah, you have to reach up to get it, but there’s pornography there. All of this is available without parental guidance. I think that is a big part of the root cause.”

Black also blamed desensitization to movies. She claimed that she’s still quite sensitive to violence in movies, but her kids aren’t, and that this is leading kids to carry out violent acts in real life without a second thought.

These remarks come shortly after another school shooting took place recently in Santa Fe, Texas. It’s almost become a monthly event.

Black’s comments come on the heels of similar aims projected by another Republican-leaning group known as NCOSE, or the National Center of Sexual Exploitation. The group was previously known as Morality in Media, where they had close ties to Mitt Romney’s cabinet, hoping that had he won the presidential bid he would have gone on to censor large swathes of porn on the internet, as reported by the Daily Caller.

The efforts by Morality in Media were upended when Obama was re-elected. However, after re-branding to NCOSE, they’ve had a lot of in-roads made in getting large platforms censored when it comes to broadcasting or hosting sexually explicit material, including the Steam storefront.

They’ve aligned with feminist organizations and other international groups in hopes of censoring porn off many parts of the internet. Last year they scored a major victory against Steam by getting certain games censored. Gamers fear that NCOSE’s efforts could eventually bring rise to something the Left-wing feminists and Social Justice Warriors have been pining for religiously over the last six years: the waifu holocaust.

Congresswoman Diane Black seems to want to remove porn from shelves along with violent movies. She also points to the deterioration of values in the home as another major factor for unrest and destructive behavior exhibited in schools.

Some of Black’s peers on the Republican side have also pointed to violent movies as a reason for school shootings taking place, but haven’t targeted porn. Back in March President Donald Trump met with video game developers and anti-gaming lobbyists to discuss what could be done about violent video games on the market, claiming that violent media does have an effect on America’s youth.

Things could turn sour for porn aficionados and fans of violent media if the Right begins mobilizing and aligning under a single umbrella, and groups like NCOSE begin working with district leaders such as Diane Black to further their war on what they claim to be objectionable media.
