Respawn Entertainment Titanfall Team Is Looking For A Senior Level Designer
Titanfall
(Last Updated On: May 28, 2018)

It looks like Respawn Entertainment is quite busy as of this moment, and from the looks of it they have three games in the works: A Star Wars game, something related to Titanfall, and an unannounced VR game. However, the Titanfall project seemingly needs a Senior Level designer to help move things along in the development sphere.

If you don’t know, Electronic Arts or EA officially acquired Respawn back on December 1st, 2017. I bet your wondering, “what will happen to all three projects?” Well, Respawn Entertainment’s Jay acknowledged this in a Q&A-like session on November 9th, 2017.

The first question asks:

Q – What’s going to happen to Titanfall?

A – Titanfall is and will remain a major part of our studio’s DNA. The Titanfall team is continuing to work on the franchise.

The second question revolves around the team’s Star Wars project:

Q – What’s going to happen with Star Wars?

A – Respawn will continue to work on our Star Wars game. Development is going well and we have a great relationship with Lucasfilm.

The third question centers around the merge:

Q – How will the merger affect Respawn?

A – There will be no layoffs or major org changes and titles currently in development will continue uninterrupted.

And the fourth question asks, “why EA?”:

Q – Why EA?

A – EA will provide us with more resources, access to new technologies, and expertise in areas that Respawn values for future growth. Respawn will retain the same creative freedom we’ve always had. We believe in the leadership driving EA’s trajectory to exciting areas that match our own goals. This is an opportunity to achieve more together through the unique strengths we each bring to the table.

With all of that said, the team seems to be going strong on all three projects according to this recent listing:

“We have shipped Titanfall and Titanfall 2 to critical acclaim, and are currently hiring for our Star Wars ™,  Titanfall, and Unannounced VR game development teams.”

Fast-forward to the month of May (or this month) and Respawn posted the following job listing on ea.gr8people.com:

Senior Level Designer (Titanfall)

We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Level Designer who will embrace our philosophy and share their hard-earned expertise to create an incredible experience for our players.

In addition to the Senior Level Designer position, Jason McCord, Lead Level Designer at Respawn, tweeted out the position, which can also be found on Respawn’s Twitter account.

Sadly, it’s unclear how this Titanfall game/project will pan out in the future. Quite a bit of people have stressed their concerns with EA being over Respawn, but I’m sure EA Play 2018 or E3 2018 should fill us in on what is currently going down with the project.
