Downward Spiral Horus Station Walkthrough

3rd Eye Studios’ Downward Spiral: Horus Station is the first-person, VR, sci-fi adventure game for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The game released first on PC and for VR headsets like the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. For gamers in need of a walkthrough guide to help them along the way, there’s one available featuring some tips and tricks on how to progress through the game.

YouTuber Reload has a playlist series available, providing gamers with a Downward Spiral: Horus Station walkthrough. You can check out the walkthrough below.

At the start of the game you’ll be able to choose the Engage or Explore mode. The former takes you through the campaign mode with enemy AI, while the latter lets you explore the levels without combative enemy AI.

If you go with the Engage mode, you’ll then be able to choose the difficulty: Mild, Standard or Oppressive.

At the start of the game you’ll have to move toward some structures in the desert.

There’s no HUD. Everything is controlled through in-game contextual cues.

To move around you’ll need highlight objects on the environment and grab them and then push yourself forward. There’s a brief tutorial at the start of the game once it puts you into the space station.

You can also access the options menu by looking down at your right arm in-game and click the second button on the suit. This will bring up the options menu.

In the game, move through the corridor and head straight through the door.

Proceed into the hatch and use the ladder to scale upward through the tunnel until you acquire the magnetic grappling gun.

Head into the next room and grab the green glowing battery cells and place them into the battery pods. The last battery cell is located inside of a compartment at the end of the room with a glowing yellow button. Press the button to open the hatch, take the battery and place it into the pod.

Once the room is powered up the handle on the hatch will glow yellow. Go open the door and head into the next room.

Go over to the panel that says “manual door access” and press the button. It will activate the droids and they will kill you.

When you respawn exit the room and there’s a nail gun on the table.

Take the gun.

Open the door using the yellow hatch and kill the droids in the next room. Press the “manual door access” button on the first console to activate the exit door on the left.

Through the next corridor you’ll need to enter into the door with the green glowing light. There are four enemy droids inside the large vestibule.

Kill the droids and then proceed through the door marked “A-5: Command”.

Head into the maintenance room and then grapple up to the second floor. There’s a button on the center control station marked “manual door access”. It will activate the door on the second floor directly across from the command console.

There are two green doors on the left and right in the next hallway. The room on the left has nothing important in it other than a model of the Horus Station.

On the right there’s a console with a blue disk and blue disk drive. Grab the blue access card and put it into the access drive.

This will enable the Goliath Protocol at the main hub.

Go into the next room and there’s a slightly larger nail gun you can pick up.

Go through the door and kill the drones.

Proceed down the hall toward the red door with the green light. Kill the drone inside the room.

When you reach the maintenance room again, go back through the door marked “Central” to head back into the central hub. There are a handful drones you’ll need to kill in the main hub.

Proceed to the “Engineering” room.

Press the button to activate the auxiliary power and then exit through the door on the right to activate the boss fight against the Goliath.

You won’t be able to beat the Goliath, but you can distract it. Get it to face away from the door marked “Airlock”.

Proceed to move around the room to the airlock door and open it. Head to the second floor and there’s another airlock tube. Go inside and then press the lever inside the room and all the sound effects and music will stop as you travel out into space.

Climb up to the top of the tower and you’ll want to go to your left – toward the green glowing light on the other side of the space station.

Use the space debris to traverse across the space and down the airlock.

This will complete the first act.

Act 2: Derelict

The next level will take you into the derelict.

Exit from the airlock and head down to the first level toward the green-lit door.

Make your way back into the main corridor, and proceed to “B-5: Hangar”.

The hagar door is broke, however. You’ll have to find a wrench to open the door.

Head to the door marked “Maintenance”.

Just past the dead body you’ll find the wrench floating above the maintenance table.

Exit the room and head back to the hangar. You’ll need to kill several drones on your way back.

Place the wrench on the broken door handle and then turn it clockwise to open the door.

Inside the hangar there’s a console to the right with a button for manual door access. There’s also a laser welder on the wall before you exit the room. Take it.

Kill the drones in the next room.

At the end of the room there’s a broken glass. Kill the drones and head through the broken glass into the hangar.

Proceed to the right and exit the hangar door that leads you back into the dimly-lit corridors. There are several more drones that come down out of the vents past the dead body. Kill the drones.

Make your way through the corridors toward the end of the hall and through the door with the green light. You’ll find more dead bodies and dead drones.

Head through the microwave-looking tunnel into the auxiliary storage area.

Kill the drones in the area and then head toward the green door marked “Aux Power”.

Go into the room with the battery fuel rods. You’ll need to insert three rods into the pods. Two of the cells are floating around. The third rod is located back in the main hangar where the giant Goliath droids are located. There’s a battery fuel rod dispenser on the opposite side of the hangar from the auxiliary power room on the lower level.

Head down and press the button, take the fuel rod and head back to the power room.

Place the cell inside the power core to power up the area in full.

The door will open up to the next room. Go inside and there’s a post-it note on the computer with the code: 5207

The code is for the workshop. Go over to the corridor with the keypad to the workshop.

Once you enter into the workshop it will end the level.

Act 3: Reconnect

Your main objective is to reconnect the power to the engineering hub.

Exit the door at the end of the room and you’ll find a vacuum propulsion device floating around on the table.

When you get back into the main hub there will be a Goliath patrolling the area. Make your way around the area to the green door lit up under the second storage area.

Go through the door, activate the manual door access. Use the vacuum propulsion device to reach the door since it will close after a short period of time.

You’ll also find a new weapon in the next room, a large bolt shooter.
