E3 2018: Battlefield V Multiplayer And Gameplay Footage Revealed

Battlefield V, the game that stirred up quite the controversy with its reveal trailer, comes a slew of in-game footage and information on game modes via EA Play. The forthcoming title in the Battlefield series of games will launch on October 19th, 2018, for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Without wasting any time, you can check out Battlefield V‘s multiplayer trailer that arrived via EA Play. The video in question depicts a mix of in-game and cinematic footage.

Next up comes a video that YouTuber Westie has on his channel, which shows off multiplayer action. Of course, the video that Westie has up also features commentary.

Next up comes “special” game modes that will be in Battlefield V. One of these modes is a scaled up version of Battlefield 1’s Operations, better known as Grand Operations in this case.

Grand Operations

“Grand Operations is the ultimate multiplayer experience, designed to seamlessly showcase the maps and modes of Battlefield V.”

YouTuber JackFrags has a full video dedicated to Grand Operations, as seen below.

Speaking of Grand Operations and “special” game modes, you can read over what Airborne has in store for soldiers.

Airborne

“Airborne centers around a group of artillery cannons that the attacking team will try to destroy, while the defenders try to prevent this from happening. The attackers enter the action from waves of airplanes, and each attacker decides when and where to eject. Once your boots hit the ground, work with your squad to locate bombs and destroy enemy defenses. Playing the objective can determine the success of the invasion.

If defending, you’ll enter the map at the artillery cannons that are not yet destroyed. Plot your best build through clever placement of towable weapons, fortifications, or anti-air guns. Adapt and overcome – if you succeed, the enemy’s element of surprise will be lost, and their next day will be much harder.”

Final Stand the game mode also accompanies Airborne, which you can read all about right here:

Final Stand

“In Final Stand, players will not be able to respawn, so the heat is most definitely on. A team will lose when all its players are wiped. The amount of ammo – if any – will be determined by the previous in-game day’s events.

With ammo and health almost depleted, your objective is clear: fight to the bitter end. No one walks away until the fight is settled, so leave it all on the battlefield.”

Both descriptions of Battlefield V’s game modes (Airborne and Final Stand) and more can be read over thoroughly on battlefield.com.

The next part revolves around common game modes like how Conquest will return, joined by a new mode named Breakthrough, and other returning modes like Frontlines, Domination, and Team Deathmatch. As of know, no word on Rush has surfaced.

Finally, Battlefield V is due out for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on October 19th, 2018.
