Warhorse Studios announced that the major free update for Kingdom Come: Deliverance is currently available right now. The new Hardcore Mode strips away some of the HUD tooltips and UI, forcing players to have to rely on wits and skill alone, along with making the game more of a survival experience instead of a standard RPG experience.
There’s a changelog for the update over on the Steam community thread, where it’s detailed that you’ll need to pay more attention to Henry’s health, stamina, energy and nourishment. You’ll no longer have the directions visible on the compass so you’ll have to manually make your way around the world using the sun as a guide.
They’ve removed fast travel, disabled auto-saving, and eating food no longer automatically heals you, but rather food and potions restore your HP over time.
Combat has also been overhauled, with strikes and slashes are a lot more deadly, especially when you aren’t fully armored. Repairing items is also more costlier and trading in items give you less coin back for your trades.
This also ties into the next bit of DLC they’re releasing called From The Ashes, which adds a whole new layer of gameplay to Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
The DLC allows you to build up your own village, become a judge of the town, and experience all new quests and content.
Now if you’ve been holding off on picking up a copy of Kingdom Come: Deliverance because you heard about the game having plenty of bugs and game-breaking glitches, Warhorse did stamp a lot of them out. Quest-breaking bugs have been fixed, bugs that cause the screen to freeze have been fixed, and NPC bugs have been ironed out.
You can pick up a digital copy or a retail copy of Kingdom Come: Deliverance right now for PC, PS4, or Xbox One. For more info feel free to visit the official website.
