SCUM Early Access Price

Croteam and Gamepires’ SCUM has been in the news off and on leading up to its highly anticipated Early Access run. A lot of gamers have been curious about when it will be entering into Early Access and how much it’ll cost. Well, Croteam, Gamepires, and Devolver Digital revealed that SCUM will be available in Early Access starting this August for $19.99.

The revelation came courtesy of a post on the Steam community thread, where the developers revealed the price point and that the game’s Early Access price will steadily increase throughout its Early Access run…

“Excited to announce that SCUM will have an introductory $19.99 price when it enters Steam Early Access this August!

“The price will increase throughout Early Access as new content and features are added. “

Croteam have been releasing videos regularly leading up to the Early Access run, many of which have been featured on Mathchief’s YouTube channel.

The game is an open-world survival title centering around prisoners on an island. You can play SCUM alone in the single-player mode or with others in the multiplayer mode. You can customize your character, get into fights, hunt, and survive.

Originally SCUM was supposed to be out during the early first half of 2018, but the Early Access run was delayed all the way to August.

The game has a ton of intricacies that make the under-the-hood work affect the user-facing gameplay, such as how stats, proficiencies and character traits will determine how well your character will be able to survive, shoot, run, carry things, and fight, while also combining those elements with traditional open-world survival gameplay such as hunting, exploration, scavenging, crafting, and cooking.

Now don’t expect a short run in Early Access. The developers acknowledge that they expect SCUM to stay in Early Access for at least a year. If you want to add it to your wishlist or follow the development, you can do so by visiting the Steam store page.
