There’s going to be a new television series on the CW Network based around Batwoman. The show is scheduled to premiere during the 2019 line-up of new shows appearing on the network.
According to the IMDB news page, the show will be themed around Batwoman as an openly lesbian crime fighter who puts social justice at the top of her priorities. This isn’t hyperbole or opinion, this is literally part of the description. Read it for yourself below…
“Armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, Kate Kane soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence.
“But don’t call her a hero yet. In a city desperate for a savior, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham’s symbol of hope.”
If lesbian social justice hasn’t been a strong enough theme around video games, cartoons, comic books, and movies lately, then CW is going to make sure you get your fill of it with the upcoming Batwoman television series.
Batwoman will also be part of the CW’s ever-expanding Arrowverse, which includes Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Black Lightning.
The IMDB page notes that Caroline Dries who helmed CW’s The Vampire Diaries will be at the helm, and will have help from fellow executive producers Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter.
As noted in the BBC news piece, Batwoman was re-introduced to the DC Comics universe as a lesbian under the Kate Kane run back in 2006. So far, her entire story-arc and character development centers around her lesbianism, as depicted in her outing in the cartoon movie Batman: Bad Blood back in 2016.
Social Justice Warriors have been heavily pushing to turn many female heroines into lesbians, to make them more masculine so as to appear trans or androgynous (like the upcoming She-Ra And The Princesses of Power) and to heavily include LGBTQIA characters in many major games (such as The Last of Us 2, Overwatch and anything made by BioWare), movies, and comic books (pick anything from Marvel).
In the case of the 2019 Batwoman television series, they aren’t even hiding that the entire show will be propaganda themed around her being an open lesbian and fighting for social justice. Anyone who likely criticizes the show or objects to any of its themes will probably get castigated by the Social Justice mob that swarms around social media these days, which has been the case with just about every major
