Danger Zone 2 Brings Burnout’s Crash Mode To PC, PS4, Xbox One For $19.99

Threefields Entertainment officially launched Danger Zone 2 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One for just $19.99. The physics-based crash simulator is based around the Crash Mode from Burnout 3: Takedown and Burnout 4: Revenge. You get to build elaborate crashes by, well, crashing into other vehicles on the test tracks.

The game is about boosting to go as fast as possible and then using the aftertouch to create a series of chain-reactions. You can see what the general gist of the gameplay is like with the trailer below.

Danger Zone 2 features eight different vehicles to race around in and destroy other vehicles with. This includes a sedan, a coupe, a taxi, a European truck, and an F1 racer.

You’ll have 26 different tracks and 17 locations to visit from around the world.

As noted over on the official Three Fields website, the game utilizes the Unreal Engine to simulate dynamic physics so the interactions are different each and every time when you play, and different for each and every crash you create.

This seems more like a party game that you put a few minutes into and have some fun with a few friends before doing something else. It doesn’t have a multiplayer mode so I don’t know if that’s going to be a deal breaker for you or not. Then again, if you were interested in a game that forgoes the typical multiplayer requirements and focuses instead on a robust single-player campaign, it might be something that entices and compels you to look a little harder at Three Fields Entertainment’s indie-made title.

Also, the game doesn’t have a very in-depth smorgasbord of modes and features like Wreckfest or Burnout Paradise, but if you were interested in a game like Burnout but for the newer home consoles you can check out Danger Zone 2. It might be wise to scope out the user review sections as well like over on the Steam page to see if it’s the kind of game that fits your tastes.
